It was published by Lucasbooks via Del Rey (an imprint of Penguin Random House) as a 'regular' novelization of the feature length animated film.

With all of that said, it does have the tone, simplicity and pace of a Young Adult novel. But, I think that has more to do with the nature of the film it's based on than the intent of the author and her editors. (less)
