Brothels, and women who work at brothels are mentioned fairly regularly including the uncouth names they have for working women are mentioned, a few times. But no scenes from the brothels are depicted. That didn't bother me so much as there is a lot of sexual tension built up in this book and at the end there is a sex scene.(less)
