Is this worth the read?

Mo Definitely worth the read. I was riveted. Excellent prose. I loved it.

Is this the only rock autobiography that does not have any drugs in it? Or did Bruce experiment with drugs at some point? (I've never heard that about him.)

He specifically says he never drank before because of his father's alcoholism and alcohol-fueled rages. He wanted to be able to control the alcohol, not have the alcohol control him. As for drugs, he talks about them being around, but says he was never interested because for him it was all about music and becoming a successful musician and he saw too many of his buddies get messed up due to drug use.(less)

It was hard for me to get going on this. Took forever! And I am a huge Springsteen fan and have seen him 4 times in concert. You can tell he worked hard on this book. The writing is sometimes clunky and awkward and I had to re-read more than a few passages and paragraphs to understand what the hell he was trying to say. But after you get going, well worth it. Others?
