Sometimes the work proceeds slowly, as there is only me at WestWard Books, my research, writing and production company. Widowhood stinks.

The characters for the second book in the Promised Valley series haven't been shouting at me as loudly as characters in other books. I take dictation from the loudest characters first. Then there was the failing computer debacle last year that cost me several months of trouble.

But--and here is hope--I can look to my right and see the binder of research for THE MORMON BATTALION TRAIL, so you may be sure it's on my schedule.
