Did anyone else wonder about the names in the book- such as Bror and Lasse? They are Scandinavian names, but the book takes place in pre-history North America?

Somehow the suggestion of both North America and Siberia has got into the goodreads book description. I think they're both wrong. North America is mentioned in just about every book description I can see on the web.(less)

There seems to be some confusion in the book description above and some of the reviews below about where the story is set. The description mentions both Siberia and North America, and reviews mention one or the other. Which is it? I'm going for Siberia.
