I want to read this book but hesitant because I saw a review on amazon that it was really more of a romance book.. I don't do the romance genre so to those who have read it.. am I wasting my time?

More accurately, you could say it's fantasy with a strong focus on the relationship between the two main characters. It's not "romance" in the sense that you have a half-baked plot that has a bunch of hot-and-heavy scenes (actually, the sex scenes are pretty tasteful/mild compared to many in this genre). It mainly focuses on the magic, the intrigue/war of the fantasy realm, and the relationships forged from all of this. (less)
