I'm confused about the character Rachel. She has supposedly just spent years as a sex slave in Auschwitz, and yet her character does not display any of the signs of trauma and aversion to romance that you'd expect. If anything she seems all starry-eyed about the male characters. It's hard to relate to. I LOVED Zion Covenant but am struggling to believe this series is the same author. Does it get better?

Her coldness and difficulty to have a normal conversation with them gives me this impression. It was last summer I read it so perhaps I am not remembering it clearly.(less)

I've read the Zion Covenant, and I really liked it. Does anyone know if these books are related to those in any way? Like a sequel? I noticed that Moshe is mentioned, and he is in the other books as well
