Leila naderi It is grim because life is bleak for many. Literature is not lullabying us to sleep. It must awaken us even if harshly.

It is difficult being in love with someone suffering from depression etc as the smallest trigger can crack them and send them spiralling. The stone thrower clearly and deeply loves the glass woman but is constantly worrying about her shattering. He ends up having an affair with someone "..he does not have to see too much or love too carefully." This story for me highlights the difficulty of living and loving someone who is mentally ill and can "shatter" as well as being someone who is mentally ill and can see the impact they make on their loved ones. I'm on page 86 and I stumbled upon the sentence, "There are no windows save for the one in the front door." Did the editor miss this/mess this up or am I just not reading this the way it is intended?
