Okay, so I added this to my to-read shelf. While bookstore browsing I picked it up. A vast majority of the examples in the book are of men. In fact, just upon glancing through the chapters it felt like there were just a few token women included as messy geniuses of sorts. Am I wrong? If I that's correct, how to I remove this book from my to-read list? Tired of hearing the same old stories about boy geniuses.

I hope you changed your mind. I think the book isn't about boys or girls, or geniuses. I find it's about where creativity and opportunity hides, whoever finds it. The introduction talks about Vera Brandes and Keith Jarret. I thought it was a great example. After all it was the boys who had to get the right piano who messed it up and the girl who turned Keith's mind around. Do we care about gender anyways in this context?(less)
