Has anyone noticed that the author mentions that octopus have horizontal pupils (page 4) but the illustration on the cover depicts an octopus with vertical pupils?

If these beings lived longer than two to three years, they would take over the planet. Between stimulus response and cognitive reasoning, they are far superior to apes. Can anyone explain the differences between the editions? I see that the 2016 and 2018 editions have different subtitles; are these the only changes between the editions?
