Does anyone know how accurate this actually is as a depiction of Algonquin life? As far as I can tell, no one involved in making it has any ties to Algonquin culture, and I'd hate to unwittingly spread misconceptions.

What age is this written for? I'm wondering if I should wait a couple of years before giving it to my currently five-year-old granddaughter.
