She opens it because at the very beginning of the book the same exact wording is used to describe her opening the strange email from Flo.
"For a minute my finger hovered irrationally over the Delete button. Then I clicked, and opened up the message" (Ware 7).
Ware's use of the word 'click' is use to describe the action of opening the email. Therefore, at the end of the book when she is debating whether to open the email from Matt, she does in fact decide to open it, as indicated by almost the exact same line from the beginning of the book
"For a minute my finger hovers irrationally over the Delete button. And then I click" (Ware 308). The parallel phrasing in these sentences indicate the she did in fact open the email.(less)
