It wasn't signalled anywhere near as obviously as Narigorm being a baddy or Jofre being gay. (less)

I noticed the narrator Camelot is sometimes called “a camelot” (with a lower c), even by himself in the first chapter. But I can’t figure out what a camelot is other than the legendary stronghold of King Arthur. It doesn’t seem a name with the ‘a’ before it. Is somebody so kind to enlighten me please?
