There aren't hot steamy embraces but expressions of sacrifice like giving one's life for the other. The main theme is protecting those who can't. Through out the series there are couples finding each other and loving one another but the steamy scenes are absent. I love Sci-Fi and romance. I love Sci-Fi more. The missing romantic scenes aren't missed by me. (less)

The books ar…moreNo. They might have it marked like that because there are no explicit sex scenes, but there is plenty of violence and sexual connotation. The books are short, but they are really story arcs of one huge book.(less)
