Also, they feel weird when they have to cross over water. That's mostly it. (less)

I can't remember if the first book had anything besides kissing, but in the rest of the series there is more stuff done (making out quite passionately, neck biting and in the last book the romantic couple has sex; however this is not narrated super explicitely, but rather subtle, since it's a YA book)(less)
