There were vampires, werewolf's, ghosts, etc, but honestly nothing too graphic that a mature 13 or 14 year old couldn't handle. Some of it unsettled me somewhat, but I think that's mostly because these types of books are really not my style (I'm the girl who sinks into the couch and squeezes her eyes shut at a scary part in the movie at a slumber party). The romance is squeaky clean, if not a little unbelievable. Hope this helped! :)(less)
