I just finished Nobody's Fool and loved it. How does Everybody's Fool compare? Is Sully still a character in this novel?

Here's a question. If this book isn't even available from the engine that drives all other engines, namely Amazon, and the publication date is May 3, 2016, how did all our Goodread's reviewers get the book?

Loved both Nobody's Fool and Everybody's Fool but bugged by an inconsistency between them. In NF, Sully visits Big Jim at the VA nursing home "almost five years ago, a year before the old man died", but in EF "word of his father's death came when he was in England during the final days of preparation for Normandy". Anyone else notice that?

Cynthia I didn’t like this inconsistency. The author should have caught this mistake.

I just started Everybody's Fool but didn't read Nobody's Fool. Can it stand on its own? I like it so far.

In "Nobody's Fool" Toby Roebuck is pregnant with Carl Roebuck's child. By the end of the novel she leaves Carl for a woman. Unless I missed it, the outcome of the pregnancy is never addressed. Neither is it addressed in "Everybody's Fool." Can anyone clarify this for me?

David L. Child must have disappeared altogether, I thought a child would crop up somewhere in the book but it was never mentioned.

Anyone else notice a significant continuity error in this sequel? It has to do with Sully's parents and when they died. I loved the first book and am enjoying the sequel, after a fashion, but I can't help thinking the author should have reacquainted himself with the first book before writing the sequel.

Whats the meaning/symbolism behind the coffins moving underground and the ooze billowing up?

Do you have to read the first book to enjoy this one?
