Hello! Is there anyone that can send me a private message to help me understand what's going on? This might be the second time not finishing a book but it's dragging unnecessarily.

I loved it, to the point that chapter 10 (which I found hard wondering what that was about) I went and re read before I got to the end. I will say persevere it's looking at someone's life kind of backwards when you get to chapter 15 or 16 it all begins to make sense. (less)

Did anyone else see the movie first? I like this book so much I've started it over at least five times. I'm listening/reading so that's easy. I find it captivating. But seeing the movie helped me, the book just filled in any blanks. Great first effort. Full of wisdom, insight, and vividly written.
Lois I too saw the movie first and found that the book was mor enjoyable since I knew basically what was coming but had a better understanding.

Listened to BBC's Front Row Daily podcast for great insight into this Goodread-not sure if I can make a link http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b06wg7zz broadcast on 20th Jan but provides great insight? Is this a masterclass in time jumping? Love hearing an author read his own work. Can't wait to read this book, is de-nazification a new word?
Kate denazification was a word used after WWII. Basically deprogramming those people who were Nazis.
