The process of writing the book, giving it to the editor to read, then a copy editor, then a typesetter...that all takes time!
There's a cover shoot with models that has to be approved, back cover copy to be written.
The publisher arranges sales with the outlets - online and in brick&mortar stores. Publicity is done. It all takes time.
And honestly, it takes me a little while to write the books. I wish I could write as fast as readers read! lol.
I'm sorry for the wait, but the general rule for traditional publishers is that it takes 9 months after I turn in a book to have it ready to be on the shelf.
And that's if it fits with the schedule. My publisher wouldn't want to publish every author's book in the same month. So they do some juggling too.
In the end, I hope you find it worth the wait!
