The sequel to Brotherhood is called "King of the Road" ( at least that's the working title) and I write it this fall/ winter, which most likely means Tor will have it on their schedule for 2017 or 2018. Em Well, it's not like it describes the torture of children in detail, the bulk of the violence happens to adults, but yes, a critical plot point is the …moreWell, it's not like it describes the torture of children in detail, the bulk of the violence happens to adults, but yes, a critical plot point is the fact that young teens are being turned into monsters and then those monsters (who look like teens) are destroyed. There was another reference to a mother and daughter being raped in front of their family, there isn't a vivid description of it happening, just a reference, but still left me feeling queasy. I still liked the book, it's obviously fantasy, not "realistic" fantasy, there's humor and overall lots of good people working together to defeat evil. (less)
R.S. Belcher The Brotherhood series does take place in the same world as Nightwise. Brotherhood happens after Jimmie and Laytham meet up in Nightwise.
