In each book he includes a person from the previous one: it's clearly Mrs. Rappoport who survives this book to return in Troubles. But i forgot to look for her while reading. Who was she? eg 'the engineer's wife who's pregnant' or something? Thanks!

While I don't think there was a character from 'The Siege of Krishnapur' in 'Troubles', the elderly residents of the resort (including the Spencer's grandmother) could of been in Indian during the mutiny. 1857 v 1919.(less)
