Is this typical of the whole Storm Serge series. My husband loves these books so I thought I'll start at the beginning. Halfway through and very disappointed. He hasn't read this one so can't tell me if its typical or different due to it being the first. I don't mind the humor or the "grossness" but it's plot is so disjointed and so many characters that have nothing to do with each other. Worth trying another?

Do you need to read the books in sequence or are they stand alone?

Tay Reading them could be compared with watching most TV series in which main characters and setting are the same but each episode stands on its own,

SpareTheBS Not really. Each story is a new adventure for the cast of characters. Tim Dorsey uses the same characters throughout the series and adds new ones here…moreNot really. Each story is a new adventure for the cast of characters. Tim Dorsey uses the same characters throughout the series and adds new ones here and there. He hasn't introduced a character that is unlikeable yet...at least to me LOL (less)
