Angélica The Royal We by Heather Cocks might be a good option. Also Paper Princess by Erin Watt has a similar plot. Hope it was useful!

I have not read The Heir and the spare book so I don't know any books that are similar to it. But The Ruby Red trilogy is super good there are three books in the trilogy. And another good trilogy is Renegades and there are three books in the Renegades trilogy. I think trilogy means three but I don't know haha. But those are some really good books I think you would like. Just read the little blurbs on Goodreads about them! is this a clean read? i'm not a fan of intense romance novels whatsoever. In fact, i often like my YA romance to be very innocent.
