I think narration also sets them apart, part of the intrigue about GG is the unreliable narrator aspect, whereas the narrator in Monsters in extremely to-the-point. There's never a moment in Monsters where the narrator knows more than she's letting on, which I thought really set the mood. Plus, the fact that it's narrated by a 12-year old gives it a more curious, adventurous and youthful feeling to it. Hope that helped? I'd love to read this book, but it doesn't seem like it's officially available in the US anywhere. Can't find an ebook from any retailer. Maybe it just hasn't picked up a US publisher yet. Anyone know where to get this ebook?
