Good review Goodreads. But you write this? "Hyeonseo instead remained in China and rapidly learned Chinese in an effort to adapt and survive." Actually, in the Book, Hyeonseo says her Father made her learn Chinese (Mandarin) at age 6, and she thanks her Father for doing that, as she was so good at spoken and written Chinese that the Chinese Policemen who arrested her thought she REALLY was Chinese.
