Any one else note the strong similarity in shape and subject matter to Sharon Creech's popular chldren's novel 'Love That Dog'? Sure stuck out for me, but maybe she's only known state-side?

Aya Blackburn Love That Dog was one of my favorite books when I was a child and I felt that this was a kind of the grown up version of that book.
