Buchanan, Jackson, Fillmore, Johnson (the first one, not LBJ), Wilson, Harding, Taylor, Nixon, and G.W. Bush all fail the sniff test of ACTUAL history rather than the revisionist variety that anyone who would pose this question favors.(less)
Beth Neu I'm not sure on what basis some people judge our presidents, but overall I believe President Jimmy Carter did far more good for our country than bad. …moreI'm not sure on what basis some people judge our presidents, but overall I believe President Jimmy Carter did far more good for our country than bad. I would much rather have a president with integrity than any other personal quality. That being said, President Carter has shown that he has integrity, guts and intelligence. He worked hard to make life better for many people in the U.S. who were overlooked and unappreciated. He took giant steps to achieve peace in the Middle East, a task far more difficult and complicated than can be appreciated by anyone on the outside looking in. There are always things that are beyond one individual's control and we don't always know all the details. (less)
