Why did all the dogs die (Except the one they found) yet all the other animals lived? Does anyone know anybody in real life who speaks in such proper English like the characters in this book?

Its a comfort read about how family pulls together, how strangers CAN be nice and pull together and share resources without too much drama. A novel of survival featuring not necessarily all braniac's, but people with good ole common sense. I thought it was a great book, and I enjoyed it very much.(less)

I too would like to see a sequel to "The Last Tribe." Did they go back to see if there were any other survivors after dropping the flyers? There are many story lines you could take to expand on this first one... and I am ready to start reading the next one.

Ken Hulse no the people who didn't like the book are not being unfair. It's a long read about people essentially going about daily life over and over and over again in a country after most people have died. Everyone is nice and the ending is just implausible. IF one wants to just fill time, then the book is fine. If one is looking for exciting action or plot development, its just not here.(less)
