Looking briefly at some reviews (not too in-depth 'coz I don't want to ruin the story for myself), it is mentioned that this is a spin-off of a different series... which one? Should I read that series first before I read this one?
Alex I did the same - started reading the first book in the Dixie Wardens series and got so confused with all the characters that I assumed had appeared in…moreI did the same - started reading the first book in the Dixie Wardens series and got so confused with all the characters that I assumed had appeared in the previous series that I stopped reading, went back to the beginning and started with the Freebird series. I'm glad I did, although some of the storylines are similar, each one kept me riveted from the first page to the last and I shed more than a few tears along the way. The MC from this book - Luke - first appears in the Freebird series and is the brother of the h in the first of the Dixie Wardens series. I hope that helps - start with Freebirds then Dixie Wardens then Code 11 KPD. I'm sure you won't regret it.(less)
