So perhap…moreYes it is a clean book and appropriate for the younger set. There is some violence and scenes of mounted men in battle. Some characters die. So perhaps the violence might be too much for pre-teens. It depends on the maturity of the child, I suppose. But no steamy scenes. There is one very tastefully handled scene that hints at sex, but our hero was never sure what had happened, if anything.(less)
