It is one of the words that means nothing because it means everything. So you are correct it is bad English. In this particular case, the main character (the protagonist) has a life that is completely fucked-up. So meaning everything and nothing is precisely what this book describes of the protagonist's life. He has a total mess of a life and nothing from it.

To really appreciate the story, you need some adult life experience. Combining the experience of life you bring to the story and the events and actions of the protagonist, you will find much to laugh about. The best I can say to describe this book to you, Wysoka, is this: It is about a fly knitting himself a warm blanket out of spider's web while the spider watches him do it. Watching the fly be so stupid is funny but it does not have a happy ending for him. Since the spider's web is the fly's whole world and owned by the spider, you can rightly say the fly is fucked.(less)
