It lagged and I wished for a good ed…moreI found the same thing that Amy did, Ethan. This book had a good start and mostly continued well until it didn't. It lagged and I wished for a good editor to help eliminate some of the back story and some of the wandering. I wondered if it had been left in because life is a wandering. At any rate, I skipped from Chapter 48 to Part VI. I'm going back to fill in now. The end was worth it, and the whole thing really is. It's just bit long in building and going on and on, yet the picture of human deprivation is clear and filled out. I wonder what to cut. But then, I'm not an editor and the truth is, I wanted it to be more concise. (less)
