Howeve…moreI personally accidentally read City of Stars before I read City of Masks and I enjoyed it and understood ~most~ of it with very little problem. However, looking back, I wish I had read City of Masks first just because that book DOES come first and the book makes a lot more sense when you have knowledge of the first book. Also it spoilers nearly the entire plot of the first book if you read City of Stars first(less)
