Has an editor been used with this installment? I just have Not enjoyed the last few Scarpettas. I know that series should evolve, but, IMO, the character dialogues have become so laden with minutiae.

Im presently reading this book (page 160) and having read all of Patricia Cornwall's book I am finding I'm skipping pages because it is so boring! Is it me or is the Carrie/Lucy 'thing' getting a bit tiring? Is it worth me reading on basically? Hugely disappointed :o(
