Is this part of the Mitford series? Could it be a stand alone and read if not all the Mitford books were read?
Janice Come Rain or Come Shine is the culmination of all the previous Mitford books. It is dependent on the others and can not possibly stand alone.

Refresh my memory, what was the last book in the series BEFORE this one? I think I am out to date ....but I don't like to read series out of order. Just LOVE all the Mitford charecters ....a funny and touching series.
