I used Judy Lewis UNCOMMON KNOWLEDGE as a source, with Loretta Young's own authorized autobiography FOREVER YOUNG as a source. I wrote a novel of historical fiction. I relied on Judy's conversations with her mother and Loretta's own words- which make no mention of a rape- these are allegations made last year, after my book was written and being printed; and after the death of Judy Lewis. Thank you for this novel. Love the Golden Age of Hollywood. In 1951 after a move to So. Cal. I was 13 years old and hung out at the main gate to MGM. I got so many autographs of Hollywood people from that time. Ava Gardner and Stewart Granger and Jean Simmons come to mind. All the stars that signed for me were lovely and polite. A wonderful memory from my childhood. Did you visit the Venice area?
