However,…moreI believe reading a series in order is preferable if it's about a recurring character, such as Jack Reacher, Lucas Davenport and Joe Pickett. However, like many readers I learn about these characters from friend recommendations and read one out of sequence, which was the case of the characters mentioned here and those such as Harry Bosch, Mickey Haller, Virgil Flowers, The Memory Man and Scott Harveth. Consequently, I have been busy checking with BAM, B&N and Amazon to purchase all of those editions. I have read all of the John Sandford Prey and Virgil Flowers novels, Michael Connelly's Hary Bosch and Lincoln Lawyer novels, Lee Child's Reacher novels, and now am reading through Joe Pickett, just finishing Below Zero. Then there is the Alex Cross and Lincoln Rhyme novels, as well. (less)
