Questions from a German reader: I liked the book very much (especially him calling her "Schnecke" all the time - so cute!) and I have a few questions. 1. Was Michael Ballack the model for Kulti? 2. Why did you place him with a club from Berlin (there is just one Bundesliga-Club in Berlin, and Hertha BSC is always at the verge of going down to second league) 3. Was Sal's name a reminiscence to Iker Casillas?

I think there wasn't much thought put into where he played as long as it was German and I also thought of Iker Casillas, but it is a common Spanish name so, possibly a coincidence.
Also I don't think the author is a huge soccer fan(less)

Is this book weird? I read somewhere that there's a 12 year age difference. It feels like it should be weird to me.

If anything, I felt the author even made too much of an effort to explain why Sal would go for this older guy. And I say that coz my boyfriend is 13 years older than me. And that's not an age difference I ever thought I'd do, I think I imagined and dated guys my age or younger usually. But when I first met my boyfriend and got to know him I really realized age doesn't dictate who we're compatible with! Like for Sal can you imagine her dating a guy her age with lets say 2 kids and doesn't play sports?! ;)(less)
