To be able to laugh out loud at certain parts of a book, and get teary-eyed at other parts means, for me, a wonderful read. There is so much to discuss about this book. I am planning to give it to several people this year as a Christmas gift.(less)

The main parts of the book have her at age 78 (I'm on page 107 so far so I don't know how long old she will be by the end of the book), but even at my age of 51 I like reading about her as an older woman. I didn't think that I would like a book that skips around from age to age, but each chapter seems like a short story, almost like a commercial because the real story is the one about her going on the cruise and when it comes back to that part, it just seems to fall into place.
