I haven't started reading this series but am considering doing so. For the fans/readers of the full series, now that it's concluded--is it worth it? Does the series have a satisfying ending? Are there any books that should be skipped or is the whole thing worth reading through?

A few macguffins for sure, but for the most part great original writing with well thought-out plots. I'm hard pressed to say a favorite book, because the series continues to build and you really feel for his characters. Depth.

I wonder what you all think about this latest (and last?) book in the Richard and Kahlan series. I thought it picked up a bit as compared to severed souls, but it still has a lot of repetition and draging on stuff. It is probably just because the original sword of truth series can never be beaten that I have sort of a disappointed feeling. Anyway, what do you think?

Why is this last book so hard to get? Its been released, yet we have to wait about 6 months till october to get the book version?!? Its been released, yet there are no books to buy anywhere, not online nor in the bookstores. Makes me incredibly sad to see the audio version gets released first, instead of the real deal.

Put yourself in Samantha's shoes and tell me how many people would react the exact same way as her? Say what you will about Goodkind's tin ear for language and names, his relentless multi-paragraph tirades that beat you over the head and his stilted dialogue. He can still incite emotion on an incredible level that all of that is forgiven in my eyes. I would absolutely take Samantha's path no matter how wrong I was.
