People in a land may be uncivilized but not incredibly stupid. Even when technology and science were much less developed people knew and understood natural phenomenon like eclipse. They may not have known the cause or name but they should have certainly heard of its occurrences from their predecessors right? So as interesting as the scene was, doesn't anyone think it was highly illogical?

Is Kukuanaland Wakanda? Reading this book recently I couldn't help thinking of the resemblance between Kukuanaland, the setting for King Solomon's Mines, and Wakanda, the kingdom of T'Challa in the Black Panther movies & comics. Both are isolated nations in central Africa with great mineral wealth which close their borders to outsiders (especially white men). Thoughts?
