Someone please tell me this has a happy ending! I want her to get the boy! But I read on the author's website Jack has a son, but with whom and it seems like he enters the war, but how could he if his dad is in the first World War? How old are the characters exactly?

I cannot give too many spoilers away but yes, Jack does have a son, Pete, and he does serve in WWII. Many men who served in WWI had sons who served in WWII- it's part of the greater tragedy of the era. The novel is available on Kindle worldwide and in print Aus, NZ and UK (10/17).(less)
