I read the Christmas book first in this trilogy. Did anyone else notice that in the first book her father died when she was in her twenties and she was an only child? In the second book she mentions a sister and in the third (Christmas book) she goes to her father's funeral, a man who she never met because he was a one night stand for her mother. Seems this is so glaring that an editor should have picked up on it.

At the end of the story, Malcolm has confessed to skimming off the top and tells Polly that his Mum is going to/has fired him as manager and that the bakery was much better when Polly was in charge. And ... that's all I got. In the next book, "Christmas..." Polly is back working at the bakery. But, I thought she didn't want to work for someone else? And, what is she doing with her bread van? Can someone clarify?
