It's meant to be disturbing and there are many themes that are probably not for younger readers. That said, it really depends on the reader. I started reading Stephen King, Robert Bloch, Clive Barker, Richard Matheson and others when I was about 13, and look at how I turned out. ;) So if you are used to adult themes and adult books, you might enjoy it. Just be sure to ask your parents first if you are under age. (less)
