The series is pretty clearly geared toward a teen/pre-teen female audience, and in some cases gets a little cliche. That isn't to say it doesnt have it's fair share of nice twists and quirks. So while it was not the best book I've ever read, it's worth a shot, especially if you're just borrowing from the library.(less)

The characters are different, and this book is for a more obvious target audience, namely pre-teen or simply teenaged girls. It's not fair to compare the two. (less)
