I teach grade 4 and 5 - would this book be appropriate for that age group? It looks a bit dark.

The descriptions on the back are about the extent of the gore. There is a scene where there is a line about burying a knife in the side of a wolf. It is a quick read (~200 pages and fast paced) and you know your kids best so if you are unsure, I would recommend reading it ahead.(less)
