Just finished reading Dead Wake and now I hope to read all I can about the Lusitania and get other interpretations on this horrific event. I thought Dead Wake was excellent and that Erik Larson, the author, did a stellar job in relating the tale in a way that I could relate to, providing lots of background with respect to World War I. Can anyone compare King's book with Larson's?

King's descriptions rely too much on cliches, and his paragraphs are often a barely coherent list of direct quotations. Whereas Larson's Dead Wake was a page-turner, King's Lusitania got boring.(less)
