Long answer. Each book is an separate story line that can read as an isolated instance. Yet, as you progress through the series you learn the depths of the characters' relationships. From the beginning, Acheron is a mysterious character and this novel is a long-awaited response to questions that have been building from the beginning. I think you will appreciate the novel more, if you read all/some the novels leading up to this one. Each book was an interesting tale and worth a read.

She was bored and like most Greek gods/goddesses had no capacity to love. Definitely worth reading but make sure you also get Styxx as that is the rest of the story about the brothers and Styxx's broke my heart.(less)
Jared Depends on your definition. There is a lot of physical intimacy and a bit of romance.
