I think it's a very useful history for anyone who wants to have a better understanding of the relationship between religion and politics in America. There is a lot in it that may be hard for the average Christian to swallow - things that you probably thought were just part of "the way things have always been" will turn out to have very shallow underpinnings and low motivations. But Christianity is not under attack - rather, you should be outraged ON BEHALF OF Christianity. (less)
