This sounds really good, but I normally really don't like paranormal books. So my question is: when it says "with shades of the paranormal", to what extent is this is the case? (From The Netherlands; sorry if I didn't write the question correctly!)

He doesn't have alot of them and it doesn't take away from the story or make it seem like he's got some magical powers. He is a normal teenage boy/young man. This book is amazing. It is beautifully written and the characters are wonderful. I highly recommend this book.(less)
